Several years ago I read a story about an old man who whittled beautiful little dogs out of wood. A lady stopped to admire his work.
“That’s the finest dog carving I’ve ever seen. What is your secret?”
He stopped and thought a few seconds. “Well, ma’am, I just whittle away everything that doesn’t look like a dog.”
If we could whittle away everything in our lives that doesn’t look like love, what a wonderful world this could be.
